What housing companies and residents need from a pipe renovation website
A pipe renovation, putkiremontti or linjasaneeraus in Finnish, is one of the largest decisions a housing company makes. The board compares contractors over months, often with a property manager and an independent project planner in the room. Once work starts, dozens of households live without a bathroom for weeks.
The board wants to see how you run a project: the stages, who supervises, how residents are told what is happening, and what you need from the housing company to give a quote. A resident wants something smaller and more urgent. They want to know when to empty the bathroom cabinets, where to shower and on which day the key comes back.
So a contractor website has to do two jobs for two readers. It must read as a serious bidder to a board, and it must work as a plain schedule for the elderly resident on the third floor of staircase B.
How the demo handles it
Pystylinja is a fictional business that VirtueInfo created for this demo. It is not a client, and its reviews and extras prices are sample content. The demo is in Finnish and English, with Finnish pages at the root and the English version under /en.
The home page opens with two choices, one for residents and one for board members. A section drawing of a stairwell with riser pipes sets the tone. Below it, an eleven-week strip shows the order of work in a staircase, from preparation to inspections.
The signature feature is the resident timeline. A resident picks staircase A, B or C, and the page recalculates sample dates for every phase from that staircase's start, with ISO week numbers. It shows the residents' evening, the day keys go to the site supervisor, where the temporary showers are and when keys return. A Gantt strip shows the phases side by side, and each phase lists what residents need to do, such as clearing the cabinet under the kitchen sink or keeping out of the bathroom while the membrane dries. Without JavaScript the page still shows staircase A.
The housing company page walks through six stages: condition survey, project planning, general meeting decision, detailed design and tenders, work and handover. It lists what the board gets and what the contractor needs to quote. The methods page compares traditional renovation, relining and new lines in a table, and says plainly that Pystylinja does not do relining. The contact page holds the board enquiry form, which shows an indicative building age as the year is typed.
Local SEO built in
Every page carries schema.org data using the GeneralContractor type, with Espoo, Helsinki, Vantaa and Kauniainen listed as areas served. Inner pages add Service data and breadcrumbs, and the home page has FAQ data from the questions residents ask most.
Page titles target the searches a board member types, such as "putkiremontti taloyhtiölle Espoo" in Finnish and "pipe renovation housing company Espoo" in English. The service area appears in the page text and the enquiry form as well as the structured data, and matches your Google Business Profile.
Fonts are self-hosted and the drawings are SVG, so pages stay light on an old phone. We keep the Pystylinja demo out of search because the business does not exist. Your own site launches fully indexable.
Notes for each market we serve
Finland
Pipe renovation is a Finnish market built around housing companies, so the demo follows local practice closely. We write in Finnish first with English, and add Swedish where your buildings need it. Prices for shareholder extras go in euros including VAT, and the business ID and insurance details belong in the footer. Terms such as isännöitsijä, yhtiökokous and kuntotutkimus are used the way boards use them, and the timeline can follow your own phase lengths.
India
Plumbing replacement in housing societies is usually sold as part of wider repair work. We would write for the society committee, show rupee prices and add WhatsApp for residents.
USA
Repiping and trenchless lining are sold mostly to homeowners and building managers. We use American spelling and dollar prices, and put your contractor licence number where customers expect it.
Canada
Condo boards face similar riser projects, so the resident timeline carries over well. We use Canadian spelling and dollars, and build a French version for Québec.
Australia
Pipe relining is a common service, mostly for houses and strata buildings. We use Australian spelling, prices with GST, and show your ABN and licence details.
What we deliver and how the project runs
We design the site to your brand rather than the Pystylinja look, and write the stage descriptions, method comparison and resident instructions with your site managers.
Board enquiries go to your email or your CRM. The resident timeline can read from your project schedule, and we can build it into a resident portal with notices and feedback through our custom application development work.
At hand-over you get the code, hosting and a guide to adding a new project and its staircases. We maintain the site after launch.
Tell us about the projects you bid for, and ask us for a quote.
