Website design for pet groomers

We build pet grooming websites that price a groom by size and coat, take booking requests with the details groomers need and handle daycare and boarding enquiries. Our demo for a fictional Gold Coast pet spa shows how.

Fluff & Fetch Pet Spa is a fictional pet groomer in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, created by VirtueInfo to show what we build. Designed and developed by our team.

What pet owners look for on a groomer's website

An owner searching for a groomer usually has a specific dog in mind. The oodle owner wants to know what a full groom costs for a medium curly coat. The husky owner wants a deshed and needs to hear that nobody will shave a double coat. A cat owner wants to know if there is a quiet time without barking. Someone going away for a week needs boarding for set dates.

The site should give each of them a price range, a time estimate and the rules around vaccinations and matts before they pick up the phone. The booking step should collect the details a groomer needs to plan the day, such as size, coat, the date of the last groom and any sore spots.

How our demo site handles it

We built a demo for Fluff & Fetch Pet Spa, a fictional pet spa on the Gold Coast, Queensland. The business, the pets and the prices were created by VirtueInfo. The design is bright and playful, with pink, lemon and lilac tiles, rounded shapes and flat illustrations of dogs and cats instead of stock photos.

The package picker

The signature feature is on the grooming packages page. The owner chooses a size, from small to giant, and a coat type: smooth, double, curly or long and silky. Each of the three packages then shows a sample price in Australian dollars and an approximate time. The picker highlights the recommended package for that coat and shows a tip, such as a full deshed for double coats. Below it, tables show the base price by size and the surcharge for thicker or longer coats, plus extras such as nail trims and flea rinses.

Each package has a Book button that opens the booking form with size, coat and package already filled in. The form shows a live estimate as the owner changes options. Choosing a cat hides the dog sizes and switches the estimate to a cat groom on the quiet cat mornings.

Daycare, boarding and the gallery

The daycare and boarding page sets out a sample day hour by hour, describes the boarding suites and the separate cat room, lists prices and states the first-stay requirements. Its enquiry form counts the nights between check-in and check-out, shows a sample cost and refuses a check-out date before check-in. The gallery shows five illustrated before and after grooms, each naming the package, coat and time taken, with a link back to the picker.

Both forms check required fields, email and phone formats and dates in the past, and ask the owner to confirm vaccinations. The home page adds opening hours, a four-step outline of a groom day, sample reviews and answers to common questions about matts and grooming frequency.

Local SEO built in

The business is marked up in schema.org as a LocalBusiness with its city, state, phone, price range and opening hours. Grooming, daycare and boarding pages carry Service and Offer entries with sample prices, and inner pages have breadcrumbs.

Page titles target what owners type, such as dog grooming prices, doggy daycare and pet boarding with the area name. The business name, hours, phone and service area match your Google Business Profile listing. Pages are static with self-hosted fonts and SVG illustrations, so they load quickly on mobile.

The demo pages are not indexed, as the business is fictional. Search engines are told to skip the Fluff & Fetch Pet Spa demo. When we build for a real pet groomer, the site is indexable from launch, with canonical tags and a sitemap in place.

Notes for each market

India

List prices in rupees and say whether GST is included. Pet owners often book by WhatsApp, so we put a WhatsApp link next to the booking form. Home grooming visits are common, so the site can list the areas you travel to.

USA

Use American spelling, dollar prices and pounds for dog sizes rather than kilograms. Many groomers ask for proof of rabies vaccination, so the form can request it. Mobile grooming vans can show the ZIP codes they cover.

Canada

Show Canadian dollar prices and explain how sales tax applies. A Québec groomer needs French pages, which we plan for from the start. Weight bands can be shown in both kilograms and pounds.

Australia

Use Australian spelling and dollar prices including GST. State the vaccinations you require for grooming, daycare and boarding. Show your ABN in the footer, and set out your cancellation notice clearly.

Finland

Show prices in euros with VAT included. The site usually needs Finnish and English, with Swedish where your customers use it. Display your business ID (Y-tunnus) and list the payment methods you take at pick-up.

What we deliver and how the project runs

We design the site around your brand and your services, not the demo's colours. We write or edit the content with you: packages, prices, the rules on vaccinations and matts, daycare routines and boarding details. Booking and boarding requests can go to your email, WhatsApp or CRM, or we connect them to your booking system. If you work alongside a vet clinic or need to keep vaccination and medication records online, our healthcare solutions team handles that kind of record keeping.

We begin with a call about your customers and services. Then we share a design for review and build the site, including structured data and help aligning your Google Business Profile. At hand-over we show you how to change prices and hours, and we offer maintenance if you want us to look after the site.

If you want a site like this, ask us for a quote and tell us what you groom and where.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the website show grooming prices when every dog is different?

Yes. The demo prices each package by size and coat type, so an owner picks both and sees a "from" price and a rough time for each groom. A note says the final price is confirmed at drop-off once the coat has been checked. On your site we load your own price grid and add-on charges.

Can owners book a groom online?

Yes. The demo uses a booking request form that collects the pet's name, size, coat, package, preferred day, drop-off time, extras and notes. The groomer then confirms a time by text. If you prefer instant bookings, we connect the form to your booking system instead, and requests can also go to your email, WhatsApp or CRM.

How do you handle vaccination requirements?

The booking and boarding forms both ask the owner to confirm vaccinations before they can send the request, and the wording names the vaccines you require. Daycare and boarding can list stricter requirements than grooming. If you want owners to upload certificates, we add a secure upload step linked to your records.

Can the site cover daycare and boarding as well as grooming?

Yes. The demo has a combined daycare and boarding page with a sample day schedule, suite details, prices and first-stay requirements. The boarding enquiry counts the nights from the dates chosen and shows a sample stay cost. Cats can have their own options and notes.
