Website design for packaging manufacturers

We build websites for box and carton makers that collect a usable specification before the first call. Our working demo for Foldmere Packaging, a fictional manufacturer in Vadodara, shows how.

Foldmere Packaging is a fictional packaging manufacturer in Vadodara, Gujarat, India, created by VirtueInfo to show what we build. Designed and developed by our team.

What buyers expect from a packaging manufacturer's website

A buyer looking for a carton supplier usually has a product on the desk and a rough idea of the box. An ecommerce brand wants a mailer that opens nicely. A factory dispatch manager wants a shipper that survives a warehouse stack and a courier sort. A food or pharma buyer has rules about what may touch the product.

What slows these enquiries down is missing information. Buyers measure the outside of an old carton, forget the inserts, leave out the quantity or ask for "strong" board without saying how the box travels. Your estimator then spends the first two calls collecting details.

So the website has a narrow set of jobs. It should explain the main box structures in plain words, teach the buyer to give internal dimensions, ask for ply, quantity and print in a structured way, and send the full request to your team in one piece. It should also avoid promising strength or print results before your team has reviewed the job.

How the demo handles it

Foldmere Packaging is a fictional company that VirtueInfo created for this demo. It is not a client, and its email address and details are placeholders. Every page and control works, so you can try it as a buyer would.

The home page introduces corrugated shippers, mailers and custom printed boxes, then points straight to the size tool. Three short sections link to the inner pages, each starting from a buyer's question instead of a product catalogue.

The packaging types page asks the buyer to choose the structure before the finish. It separates regular shipping cartons from folding mailers and rigid presentation boxes, and reminds anyone packing food or another sensitive product to raise it early.

The corrugated boxes page covers internal dimensions, three-ply against five-ply, and the full journey of the carton through couriers, warehouses and local delivery. The custom printing page deals with folds, joins, readable areas and how proofs are agreed, so artwork problems surface before production.

The signature feature is the custom size quote page. The buyer enters length, width and height in millimetres, picks three-ply or five-ply, sets a quantity and chooses unprinted, one colour, two colours or full colour. An isometric drawing of the box redraws to the new proportions with each change, and a summary line reads back the specification, for example 300 × 200 × 150 mm, 3-ply, 500 boxes. A note under the drawing says it is an illustration, not a production dieline.

Below the tool, an enquiry form asks for name, email, a preferred day to talk and a message about inserts, closures and handling. The date picker does not allow past days, and the browser checks each field before anything is submitted.

Local SEO built in

Each page carries structured data: the business as an Organization tied to its city, and the inner pages as Service entries with breadcrumbs. For a client site we add the LocalBusiness type with your factory address and hours. Page titles follow buyer searches, such as "packaging manufacturer Vadodara" on the home page and "corrugated boxes Vadodara" on the box page.

The city name appears in the page text and in each title, and the same business name and contact details go into your Google Business Profile so the two match. If you supply several industrial areas or states, we add a page for each with real delivery information.

The demo uses plain HTML, CSS and one small script, with self-hosted fonts and SVG drawings instead of photographs, so pages open quickly on a mobile connection. Because the business is fictional, the demo stays out of search results. Since Foldmere Packaging is a made-up packaging manufacturer, its demo is hidden from search. A real packaging manufacturer site we build is published indexable, with every page listed in the sitemap.

Notes for each market we serve

India

We write in Indian English, show any prices in rupees with GST separate, and put your GSTIN and Udyam number in the footer. Many buyers prefer to send carton photos on WhatsApp, so we add a WhatsApp button next to the size tool. Payment notes can mention UPI, NEFT and RTGS.

USA

We use American spelling, dollars and inch dimensions first, with millimetres as an option in the size tool. Buyers often ask about box test ratings, so the copy lists only the ratings your boxes have been tested to.

Canada

We switch to Canadian spelling and Canadian dollars, and let the size tool accept metric or imperial. For buyers in Québec we build a French version of each page. Your business number goes in the footer and on quotes.

Australia

We use Australian spelling and Australian dollars with GST shown clearly, and keep dimensions metric. Your ABN goes in the footer. Delivery notes are written by state, since freight affects carton pricing.

Finland

We build the site in Finnish and Swedish, with English for export customers, and show prices in euros with VAT separated for business buyers. Your business ID appears in the footer. Buyers often ask about recycled content and recyclability, so we give that its own section when you can back it up.

What we deliver and how the project runs

We design the site around your brand and write the pages with your estimators, using the box styles, board grades and print methods you run. The size tool is set to your limits for minimum and maximum dimensions and order quantity.

Enquiries reach your email, WhatsApp or CRM with every field in place. If you want the tool to price standard sizes or check stock, our custom application development team can connect it to your systems. At hand-over you get the code, hosting setup and a short editing guide, and we can stay on for updates.

Send us your product range and the sizes buyers ask for most, and ask us for a quote.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can buyers work out a box size on our website?

Yes. The demo has a tool where the buyer types internal length, width and height in millimetres, then picks ply, quantity and print colours. A drawing of the box changes shape as the numbers change, and a summary line sums up the request. It is labelled as an illustration, so nobody mistakes it for a dieline.

Will the website quote prices automatically?

Not unless you want it to. Board grade, flute and print coverage change the price too much for a simple calculator, so the demo collects the specification and leaves pricing to your estimator. If you have fixed rates for standard carton sizes, we can build a price table for those alongside the custom tool.

Can the site explain board strength without making promises we cannot keep?

Yes. The demo copy says that ply describes construction and is not a universal load rating, and asks buyers about stacking, moisture and handling. We write your pages the same way, from the tests and grades you offer. Anything you certify can go on the page with its reference.

Where do the enquiries from the size tool go?

In the demo nothing is sent, because the business is fictional. On your site the dimensions, ply, quantity, print colours and message arrive together by email, on WhatsApp or in your CRM. Your estimator gets the whole specification in one message instead of piecing it together over three calls.
