What families need from a wedding planner's website
Families looking for a wedding planner are rarely shopping for one service. They are trying to picture several functions over two or three days, a guest list that may run into hundreds, and a budget that both sides of the family will discuss. Before they call, they want to know what you handle at each function, how much of the planning you can take on and roughly what a wedding of their size costs.
A planner's site has to make that picture clear. It should describe the work function by function, offer different levels of help for families who have already booked some things, show weddings you have run, give a believable cost range without a hard quote, and make it easy to start a conversation on WhatsApp.
How our demo site handles it
We built a demo for Shubh Saat Weddings, a fictional wedding planner in New Delhi, India. VirtueInfo invented the business, its sample stories and its sample budget figures. The demo is in English, written in an Indian English voice.
Functions, services and promises
The home page sets out five functions, from haldi to reception, and what the planner does at each, such as a schedule that lets the bride's mehendi dry or a coordinator at the pheras. A section of seven promises covers one lead planner, an open budget sheet, vendor quotes shared as they are and a run sheet for every function. A four-step timeline runs from the first meeting to the wedding week.
The services page compares full planning, partial planning and wedding-week coordination, with when each usually starts. It then lists what the team handles, from venue visits and catering tastings to the baraat route and the samagri list with the family pandit. Fees are described as quoted after the first meeting and paid in stages with a GST invoice.
The budget planner
The signature feature is the budget planner. A family sets the guest count with a slider, ticks the functions they want, picks a city and chooses simple, classic or grand decor. The planner shows a sample range in lakh and a bar for each function. Choosing a destination city adds a city factor and guest rooms for one to three nights. A note explains how the range is worked out and what it leaves out, such as outfits and jewellery.
Below the result, an Add this estimate to my enquiry button copies the range, functions and city into the enquiry form and fills in the guest count. The form checks the mobile number and email before sending.
Stories and destinations
The real weddings page carries three sample stories with illustrations and a clear note that the couples are not real. The destination page covers six locations with best months and local rules, plus room blocks, travel desks and weather back-up plans.
Local SEO built in
The business is marked up as a schema.org ProfessionalService with its studio area, opening hours and the cities it serves. Each planning service and the destination offer carry Service markup, and inner pages have breadcrumbs. Page titles follow searches such as wedding planners in the city, wedding planning services in the region and destination wedding planners.
The name, area, phone and hours match your Google Business Profile. Illustrations are inline SVG and fonts are self-hosted, so pages load quickly on a phone. Since Shubh Saat Weddings is a made-up wedding planner, its demo is hidden from search. A real wedding planner site we build is published indexable, with every page listed in the sitemap.
Notes for each market
India
Families expect to talk on WhatsApp and to pay fees by UPI or bank transfer, as the demo shows. Budgets read naturally in lakh and crore, and function names should match the community you serve. Show your GSTIN in the footer, since families will ask for a GST invoice.
USA
Use American spelling and dollar figures. Couples often look for planning packages, a vendor list and a clear note on how your fee is charged. Planners serving South Asian weddings can keep the function-by-function structure for multi-day events.
Canada
Show figures in Canadian dollars and say how tax is added. A planner working in Québec needs a French version of the site, which the page structure supports with separate titles per language.
Australia
Use Australian spelling and dollar figures, and say whether GST is included. Show your ABN in the footer, and keep destination notes on seasons and venue rules current.
Finland
Prices go in euros with VAT included. A planner usually needs Finnish and English, and Swedish in some regions or for coastal venues. Show your business ID (Y-tunnus) in the footer, and give summer and manor venues their own pages.
What we deliver and how the project runs
We design the site around your brand, not the demo's marigold palette. We write or edit the content with you: the functions you plan, your service levels, your destinations and the stories families have agreed to share. Then we connect enquiries to your email, WhatsApp or CRM and set the budget planner to your own figures. Our UI and UX design team keeps the planner and form easy to use for a parent on a phone.
The project starts with a call about the weddings you plan, then a design for you to review, then the build. Before a wedding planner site launches we add the structured data and match your opening hours, address and categories to your Google Business Profile. At hand-over we show you how to add new stories and update figures, and we offer maintenance afterwards.
If you want a site like this, ask us for a quote and tell us the kinds of weddings you plan and where.
